From our head office in Rotterdam, and branch offices in Breda and Denmark, we work globally and deliver our services to internationally active companies. At Venturn, we believe that people are the key to innovation and excellence. Talent development and bringing in innovative perspectives are therefore central to us. This makes Venturn a top choice for young professionals looking to grow and make an impact within the maritime sector.

Venturn Young Professionals (VYP)

One of the four propositions, the Venturn Young Professionals Program is specifically designed for future leaders. This paid 2-year management development program is designed for WO graduates with 0-2 years of work experience, who want to give their career a flying start in the maritime sector. You will work in a challenging environment where you will have many opportunities to develop yourself, continue to learn and discover where your passion lies, in addition you will have responsibility on the work floor from day one. As a VYP’er you step into the dynamic and diverse maritime supply chain, where knowledge and talent come together to solve complex business challenges.

The VYP program is a paid two-year traineeship where you will work on 2-4 exciting projects throughout the program. In the VYP program you will work directly with leading companies in the maritime sector, such as shipping lines, logistics service providers, port authorities, terminals, offshore companies, and various public and private organizations. You will also follow a comprehensive curriculum focused on supporting both your professional and personal growth, with topics such as project management, leadership, and data analytics.

In addition to following many training courses in the area of soft and hard skills, you will also spend sufficient time on guidance during the traineeship. For example, you will receive job coaching from a senior consultant and have at least 3 one-on-one sessions with a professional coach to help you develop into a full-fledged professional. Furthermore, many social activities such as drinks and team outings are organized with both fellow trainees and former trainees.

Since the start of the VYP program in 2007, around 100 young professionals have already set their course for a successful career in the maritime industry. Are you ready to jump into the deep end? The VYP program will develop you into a desired professional, with a promising, managerial maritime career in your sights.
